Every other May historic automobile racers, iconic cars, glamorous women and motor racing fanatics from around the world unite in Monaco for the Grand Prix Historique. It's a prestigious concourse of irreplaceable, museum-quality grand prix machines from pre-war voiturettes to the 1970's 3 Litre Formula One cars on the demanding circuit that winds along the narrow streets through the famous Casino Square to the tight Loews hairpin, the challenging tunnel and beside the harbor lined with luxurious cruise ships. Without the safety features of modern F1 cars, it s both dangerous and exciting as daring drivers go head-to-head to stand on the legendary podium and claim the winner's wreath from Prince Albert II -- one of the most prestigious achievements of any racer's career.

Aside from the race course, Monaco offers other extreme sports like rock climbing. Perched on the hillside above the principality, you can't miss the beautiful blue and orange striped limestone crags. La Turbie offers over 500 established routes in a variety of grades with quick and easy access, and a breathtaking overlook of Monaco, Nice, Menton and the Mediterranean Sea. If you prefer a more leisurely activity, enjoy the exquisite Mediterranean cuisine, browse through the ultra fashionable boutiques, test drive an exclusive sports car, play a game of golf, sail, or stroll, pedal or jog throughout the exotic gardens, the extraordinary Prince's Palace, and along the rocky promontory.
