Every other May historic automobile racers, iconic cars, glamorous women and motor racing fanatics from around the world unite in Monaco for the Grand Prix Historique. It's a prestigious concourse of irreplaceable, museum-quality grand prix machines from pre-war voiturettes to the 1970s 3 Litre Formula One cars on the demanding circuit that winds along the narrow streets through the famous Casino Square to the tight Loews hairpin, the challenging tunnel and beside the harbor lined with luxurious cruise ships. Without the safety features of modern F1 cars, it’s both dangerous and exciting as daring drivers go head-to-head to stand on the legendary podium and claim the winner's wreath from Prince Albert II -- one of the most prestigious achievements of any racer's career.
